Looking for some real talk here. I'm planning a bathroom renovation and trying to decide what to DIY vs what to hire out. 🤔

I'm pretty handy - I've done lots of painting, some basic carpentry, installed a ceiling fan, etc. But I've never done tile work before. The bathroom is about 100 sq ft total.

I've watched a million YouTube videos and it seems doable, but I'm worried about messing it up since it's such a visible thing. On the other hand, the quotes I'm getting for professional tile installation are pretty steep ($3,500-4,500).

For those who've gone both routes - what's your experience? Is tile work one of those things that's harder than it looks?
