First-time bathroom remodeler here and I keep reading "make sure they're licensed and insured" but... how do I actually verify that? Do I just take their word for it? 🤷♀️
Is there a website to check licenses? Should I ask to see insurance certificates? What exactly should I be looking for? I don't want to be rude and act like I don't trust them, but I also don't want to get scammed.
Also, what's the difference between licensed, bonded, and insured? People use these terms like everyone knows what they mean but I'm lost! Help a newbie out?
