Designing my new shower and stuck on whether to do a prefab shower pan/base or a fully tiled shower floor. My contractor can do either but says they're about the same cost. 🚿
Prefab pan pros: Faster install, guaranteed waterproof, cheaper?
Tiled floor pros: Looks better (?), more design options, easier to do linear drain
What did you choose? Any issues with either option? I've heard tiled shower floors can leak if not done right, but I've also heard shower pans can crack. Just want to make the right choice!
Also considering those new foam pans that you tile over - anyone used those?
